We are excited to introduce our newest team member, Dany Abou Haidar, who joins the Stockholm office as a System Architect. With nearly two decades of experience in software development and system architecture, he brings a wealth of expertise and a deep-rooted passion for building from the ground up.
Dany’s interest in technology started early. Growing up with a 386 computer in the early 90s, he was hooked on computers long before it became his profession. He went on to study electrical engineering and computer science, and in 2006, he began his career in IT.
–I started out as a tester, then moved into development and eventually took on project responsibilities. I’ve essentially always worked as a consultant, and I’ve also run my own company for a period. The consultant life suits me well, as there’s always something new around the corner.
Most recently, Dany spent over a decade as a consultant at Samsung, where he moved between roles spanning software development, system architecture, database management, and data modeling. He has also been involved in cloud-related projects. Now, as he steps into the role of System Architect at Sinetiq, he is ready to focus on what he enjoys most.
– As a system architect, you get to create from scratch. You form a blueprint, build from the ground up, and make different systems work together. That is what I find truly exciting, not just maintaining what already exists, but modernizing legacy or building something entirely new.
Ask Dany to describe himself, and three words come quickly: logical, calm, and curious. He applies the same structured thinking both at work and in everyday life, and he sees continuous learning not as a requirement, but as one of the best parts of working in tech and IT.
– In the digital world we work in, you always have to keep up to date, and that suits me perfectly. I want to become the best architect I can be, and I believe that Sinetiq is the right place for me to do so. It is a growing company with products that are being developed and improved. Getting to be part of that journey from an early stage feels really rewarding.
When it comes to teamwork, Dany brings experience from large organizations where communication, delegation, and cross-functional collaboration have been key.
– You need to speak the same language with customers and with each other. I like working in teams where you learn from one another, bring different perspectives, and aren’t afraid to try new things. I’ve worked at big companies and faced many different kinds of challenges, and I think that gives me something valuable to contribute.
Outside of work, Dany lives in Vällingby with his wife and three children. When he is not thinking about system architecture, you are likely to find him on the golf course or watching football.
We thank Dany for the interview, and warmly welcome him to Sinetiq!
