Summarizing 2024 at Sinetiq – Setting the foundation and pushing innovation forward

As the holidays come to a close and we kick off the Sinetiq 2025 edition, we would also like to take the time to reflect on the past year. 2024 was full of happenings, from welcoming new colleagues to launching our product portfolio to working on exciting customer projects. So, with no further ado, let’s wrap up 2024!

Product launch and competence center

In the spring of 2024, we launched four products to meet companies’ growing need for flexible and scalable integrations. The product offering consists of a framework for integration, a cloud-based testbed, a test tool, and a status check of current integrations. The market has received them enthusiastically, as the trend to replace monolithic systems with component-based solutions has kept improving.

Now, our offering consists of three core parts: consultancy, products, and our competence center, Parus Integration Excellence Center, which we introduced in the last months of the year. It is a dedicated hub for thought leadership, collaboration, and expertise, bringing together professionals to share insights and foster a vibrant community that drives the future of integration technologies. Keep an eye out for more events and seminars in 2025!

Recruitment and team-building

We entered 2024 with a fully-stacked order book, so meeting our customers’ need for expert consultancy was a top priority right from the start. First out was Alex and Linnea, who both joined Sinetiq at the turn of the year 23/24. They were followed by our new system integrators and architects Frans, Raggi, and Jim, who all have had a great year, contributing to both customer operations and our product development. Finally, by the end of 2024, we made an internal recruitment, as David took on the role of CTO of Sinetiq. This new year will also start with the presentation of a new colleague, so keep an eye out on our social media to see who it is!

Even though it was a year with a record number of customer projects, we have taken the time to spend time with each other. Besides working weekly on our product portfolio and spontaneous after-work activities, we have had two major internal conferences. These were great opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, create action plans, and focus on our diversity and inclusion work.

In December, part of our team headed to the heart of Milan for an exciting four-day hackathon. The days focused on developing our products, sharing ideas, and engaging in meaningful discussions. But the evenings were reserved for fantastic meals, exploring landmarks, and watching football. Forza Rossoneri!

New office spaces in Luleå and Stockholm

Moving to larger premises in Luleå and Stockholm during the year was a much-needed step in our continued growth. The first move occurred in April when we received the keys to Sveavägen 24-26 in Stockholm. The office is located in ElinderSten Arkitekter’s top modern building, and we look forward to welcoming new employees and customers there. Almost six months later, the move took place in Luleå, this time to Kyrkogatan 2, where we will have a housewarming party in 2025.

Close collaborations with industry and academia

In 2024, we worked a lot on strengthening our collaboration with other players in the industry and academia – locally and internationally. For instance, we actively participated at QCon in London and the Arrowhead fPVN and AIMS5.0’s DeepTech conferences in Luleå and Budapest. The workshops brought together key European industrial and academic players to share success stories, developments, and use cases in microservices and service-oriented architecture. Working closely with the universities is a way for us to keep our skills up to date. And at the same time, we help them put their theories into practice in real customer cases. We look forward to continuing to expand our network and working on collaborative projects in 2025!

In conclusion…

As we step into 2025, we’re proud to reflect on a year of growth and achievement. Our consultants have contributed to impactful projects for clients such as Tullverket and Apollo, whose award-winning app is a testament to successful collaboration. We’ve deepened our partnership with Scania, where we work internationally, from Sweden to South America and Asia, and have launched products already driving value in live customer projects.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues with the addition of new team members in early 2025 and a housewarming party for our new office in Luleå. It’s truly a thrilling time at Sinetiq, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
